Blue Christmas: A Unitarian Universalist Gathering for Those Who Struggle During the Holidays

Join us this Sunday as our own Lisa Jacobs offers "A Spiritual Reflection on Religion." Lisa invites us to explore the evolving meaning of religion in our lives -- how tradition, doubt, and personal experience shape our understanding of faith. Together, we’ll reflect on how spirituality and religion can inspire renewal and deeper connection.
Lisa Jacobs is married 40 years to her husband Bill. They have 2 sons and 3 grandchildren. She spent 25 years as an office manager for a family practice and podiatrist. She still does accounting for the practice. She left to manage a Quaker Continued Care Community's medical office, home care and Early Alzheimer's Support Group. They moved to Surfside Beach when her husband became ill. During the pandemic she and her sister completed schooling and turned their interest of spirituality and wellness into a new business, Meditation Sisters, LLC. They have a studio in Pawleys Island and also travel to locations for Mindfulness Workshops and Sound Baths. We are proud, grateful, and fortunate to have Lisa as an active member of this church.
Please join us this Sunday. The service will begin at 11am. The service will be available on Facebook Live for those who wish to participate remotely. Go to the ASWUU Facebook page and click the Live link.
We have a social hour after the service for coffee, snacks and conversation. You may bring a dish to share if you would like to do so.
