This week we will look into the history and issues surrounding the conflict in the Middle East.
Rabbi David Weissman served as spiritual leader of Temple Shalom of Myrtle Beach from 2008 until his retirement at the end of June 2019. In July 2022, he returned as year round part-time rabbi of Temple Shalom, where he is currently serving. Prior to his service at Temple Shalom, Rabbi David served for seven years as spiritual leader of the Village Reform Congregation of Pembroke Pines, Florida (2001-2008) and thirteen years as spiritual leader of the Jewish Center of the Moriches in New York (1998-2001). Rabbi David also served in the New York City School System for 31 years, initially as a social studies teacher and for the last 18 years as a high school assistant principal. Rabbi David received an M.A. degree form Hunter College, a B.B.A degree from Baruch College, ordination from the Rabbinical Academy of Mesifta Adas Wolkowisk and a Cantorial Certificate from the Manhattan School for Cantors.
