Summer Reading: A UU Lens
Click to view the full calendar!
Our ASWUU summer series this year is titled “The Spirituality of Ordinary Things.” The topics for each week have a common thread: slowing down, noticing, reconnecting, finding meaning in ordinary experience, and building community. This week, led by author and ASWUU member Rev. Shay Vetter, the topic is "The Church of the Great Outdoors (No Membership Required)." Starting from the premise that literature can be treated as spiritual conversation, the discussion leader and participants alike will share about reading material ranging from justice, meaning, and identity, to transcendence.
The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be available on Facebook Live. To participate remotely, go to the ASWUU Facebook page and click the Live link.
We will have our monthly potluck after the service, where the coffee and conversation are always rich. You may bring a dish to share if you would like to do so.
