Our ASWUU summer series this year is titled “The Spirituality of Ordinary Things.” The topics for each week have a common thread: slowing down, noticing, reconnecting, finding meaning in ordinary experience, and building community. This week, Dr. Karen Fulwood will share about Advance Allergy Therapeutics and the benefits it may offer to individuals seeking a different approach to addressing allergies and related health concerns. She will also share her personal journey and how her experiences have shaped the person she is today. She will speak openly about the traumas she has faced, the challenges she has overcome, and the strength, growth, and resilience she discovered along the way. Her goal is to connect the benefits of Advance Allergy Therapeutics with a larger conversation about physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. She hopes her story encourages others to recognize their own strength, remain open to possibilities, and understand that healing can take many forms. In the spirit of Unitarian Universalism, she hopes this discussion creates space for compassion, personal reflection, understanding, and meaningful connection among everyone present.
The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be available on Facebook Live. To participate remotely, go to the ASWUU Facebook page and click the Live link.
We will have a fellowship hour after the service, where the coffee and conversation are always rich. You may bring a dish to share if you would like to do so.
