Click to view the full calendar!

This week’s speaker will share insights from the Lakota people’s wisdom tradition. We will learn about the Native American tradition of the powwow and the story of White Buffalo Calf Woman. This is a timely topic, as the 34th Annual Waccamaw Indian People Cultural Arts Festival & Pauwau 2026 will take place November 7–8, 2026, at the Waccamaw Tribal Grounds in Aynor, South Carolina.
Rev. Pamela Baxter has served as a lay minister with Unitarian Universalist congregations in Salem, Oregon, and here in the Grand Strand for more than 17 years. She is a former children’s religious education instructor and former president of the board here at All Souls Waccamaw. A graduate of Coastal Carolina University, she has been very active in the LGBTQ+ community through Grand Strand Pride, OutMyrtle Beach, and PFLAG. She also previously served on the Human Rights Commission of the City of Myrtle Beach. A storyteller, comedian, and great hugger, Rev. Baxter invites you to join us for this fun service!
The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be available on Facebook Live. To participate remotely, visit the ASWUU Facebook page and click the Live link.
Our monthly potluck will take place immediately following this week’s service. You are welcome to bring a dish to share.
